Canine Hydrotherapy Centre

welcome

The Canine Hydrotherapy Centre opened in March 2004. We are fully insured and regulated by The Canine Hydrotherapy Association.

The Canine Hydrotherapy Centre provides a professional, caring environment where your dog will receive treatment based upon his/her individual needs, physical requirements and behaviour. It is ideal also for show, working and racing dogs, as it will improve general fitness and stamina.

Please note that most insurance companies will pay for the cost of Hydrotherapy, providing you have been referred by your veterinary surgeon. It is recommended to check with your insurance company before hand.

testimonials

When Bonnie first went to the Canine Hydrotherapy Centre she was apprehensive due to the fact that she normally swam in ponds or a river and was not accustomed to wearing a life jacket or entering the water by a ramp. However, after a few visits and a bit of gentle persuasion from the staff she now loves her swimming sessions and even enjoys it when the strong jets are on.

I took Bonnie to hydrotherapy in an effort to help her lose some weight. Originally she was a podgy pooch of over 32kgs. She is now down to 27.5kgs, has well defined muscles on her hind legs and also a waist - a much better and healthier dog than before.

I have nothing but praise for the staff at the Canine Hydrotherapy Centre as they are very friendly, knowledgeable and experienced in the handling of dogs of all types. They put you and your pet at ease and make swimming time fun. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend hydrotherapy to any owner whose dog is suffering from some ailment, been though an operation or just plain overweight and needs therapy like swimming. In my opinion this would help it to be a fitter, healthier and happier dog and would enable it to enjoy a full and active life.
Margaret Watson - owner of Bonnie.
